You may be wondering what the purpose of this blog is, and why it's titled "Nicole Knits". First of all, yes, I am indeed Nicole, and I do indeed knit. *Surprise!!!* But I do many other things too, and this blog is my way of sharing those things with whoever wants to read about them! First of all, a bit about myself: I am a twenty-something who has been interested in crafts, knitting, and self-sufficiency for as long as I can remember. Even when I was young, I was constantly trying to "sew" my dolls clothes, or convince my mom that we should own goats. ;) I also have interests in Bible study and memorization, early childhood education, and simple living. I love slowing down and doing things that our ancestors used to do: making butter, knitting a sock, sewing a skirt, growing some vegetables. Some may say these skills are outdated, but I believe that the store-bought, mass-produced, cookie-cutter life isn't for everyone. And I might just be one of those people who was put on this earth to go a different route. I am in college right now, and I plan to graduate in 2019. I have a major in elementary education, with a minor in early childhood education. This blog was actually created for one of my classes about education, believe it or not! That is where most the posts under the education tab on my blog came from. (So if you think those topics seem like things I wouldn't normally write about, you would be absolutely correct!) After that class was over, I decided to keep the blog going and use it for whatever catches my fancy to post about. Even though the title is still "Nicole Knits", you will find much more than just knitting here! If you poke around on here enough (and I would be absolutely flattered if you did!), you will find pages for my knitting patterns, recipe reviews, homesteading tips and dreams, Bible memory thoughts, and maybe other random things! Some things you will NOT find here include political posts, advertisements, or deep thoughts about science or mathematics. I do not enjoy those things, so I simply will not post about them! ;)
Unfortunately, as of right now I have no regular posting schedule, and some of my blog's pages are still embarrassingly empty. This is because I am still in college, and it keeps me quite busy. At this point in my life, academics comes first, and this blog is just a hobby to escape to when I need a break from homework. In spite of this, I hope you will find my posts enjoyable, and please leave a comment or submit a contact form to let me know what you think and what you would like to see on this blog in the future! Don't be afraid to be creative, Nicole

AuthorHi! My name is Nicole, and I've been knitting since I was 9 years old. I love teaching myself new techniques, and sometimes making them up. I usually come up with ideas faster than I can knit them! And one day I thought, why not share it all with you! ArchivesCategories |
